| The Summer Leagues final was on today and it saw Team H (Angela Shanahan, David Lee, Jack King and Philip Sweeney) playing Team N (Bernie Blake, Billy Blake, Patsy Blake and Alyn Poleon). It was a very close match. Bernie and Patsy won their doubles on the first tie hole and Dave and Jack won their doubles to make it one a piece after the doubles. The singles was just as close and the teams won two matches each which forced a playoff. David Lee and Billy Blake went out on a 9 hole playoff which went right down to the wire- Dave beat Billy on the 9th to win the title for his team. Well done to Angela, Jack, Philip and Dave on a great win. |
