Winter League - The Final

Well it has now arrived - yes the Final of the Winter League. The Poppys versus the McCann Cans. Some might say it could be a family affair but not sure as we have brother in law versus brother in law with another brother in law being a player on one of the teams. Anyway may we wish both teams the very best of good luck - we are just jealous that we did not qualify for the final.

May we take this opportunity of thanking sincerely Halpenny Golf for their generous sponsorship of this competition. We as a Club certainly appreciate this continuous sponsorship.
Well ladies all good things must come to an end and we just were not good enough this week to take any scalps although rumour has it the men were in serious practice to ensure we did not secure any scalps.
Ladies please note that weather permitting and the course being open we will have our usual Saturday 9 hole scramble at 1pm.

2020 Day Outing
The Gents' day out is on Saturday 29th February to St.Brigid's Pitch and Putt Club in Kildare. The Ladies day out is on Saturday 7th March to Gaeil Colmcille Pitch and Putt Club in Kells. Please ensure that you have your money paid in full.

Membership Fees
Please note that Membership Fees are now due for the 2020 year. In order to play in the Drive in please have your fee paid by the end of February. This will allow our Registrar Martin Walsh to register your name with Pitch and Putt Ireland.


New Members Welcome - Adults and Juveniles
Our Club is now open for membership. If you would like to join our Club please contact the Secretary in writing and we will be in touch with the relevant details by return. You can join as a family or individual or indeed you are more than welcome to call into the Club House and ask for any committee member who will be only too willing to discuss your enquiry - best time to call is at the weekend or contact us at [email protected]

Hall/Room for Hire
Please note that we have a hall/room for hire from 7pm weekdays - short term or long term hire/lease will be considered. Please contact the secretary by letter or email [email protected]

Mr & Mrs - Valentines
Congratulations to Tracy and Stephen Needham on winning this competition last weekend. Tess Donovan was our compare for the night and well done to you Tess.

Besides taking part in this competition Stephen also has the 'poison chalice' of securing music for our club nights. This task can be a most thankless job as it is hard to please everyone with their taste in music but Stephen continues to pursue music for our club. If you have any ideas for a change in music or would like to recommend a group either the House Committee or Stephen would be delighted to hear from you - all positive suggestions welcome.
